HELP BUILD A PATH THAT PROTECTS CHILDREN

ADDIE’S LAW:

The Roundtable

Addie’s Law needs people who understand the law, child safety, family systems, and what survivors need from a process meant to protect them. Join us on Monday, October 19 from 6-7 pm in Auburn, Indiana to finalize the proposal before we bring it to legislators. Fill out the form below or email sydney@addieslaw.org to attend.

WHO WE HOPE TO WORK WITH

The immediate focus is a fair, workable legislative pathway after specified convictions. Fill out the form below to join us. Space is limited.

Lawmakers and staff

Consider bill language, hear from families, and help assess how a new petition pathway would fit Indiana law.

Attorneys and legal advocates

Review standing, due process, evidence, judicial findings, and the relationship with existing family and juvenile law.

Child Advocacy Centers

Help shape practices that protect children’s privacy and avoid requiring families to repeat painful details unnecessarily, and become a trusted referral partner.

Judges and court professionals

Offer general process insight consistent with judicial ethics and professional responsibilities. We are not asking anyone to discuss a pending case.

Advocates and survivors

Help us listen well, refine informed consent into story sharing, identify support that families may need, and become a trusted referral partner.
